Instructional Rounds (IR) is a collaborative problem-solving process that primarily focuses on the instructional core: the interaction between teachers, students, and the content they are studying. IR arises from the medical rounds model when physicians have difficulty solving a complex medical problem. Closely observing, describing, and talking through the problem using diverse perspectives better equips one to solve it.
